hey guys, ive been searching for a good place to give small updates on Audra Winter and everything going on. the most interesting thing to me about the most recent updates is that blaming the old editors, talking shit about other authors, and letting her patreon know they are deleting all comments of feedback, both on her book and her process is by far some of her most unhinged behavior yet. i understand not wanting book feedback on patreon, but blocking any feedback, including on her content, is unfair to her followers, especially if she has pay tiers...

HOWEVER, nobody seems to care! and not in a, wow people are just letting her get away with this kind of way, but in a 'she's out of the trend cycle' kind of way. the general attitude of tiktok seems to be "yeah yeah she doesn't take feedback well and is blaming others for her book, what else is new" and people are moving on.

i ultimately think this is good, both for her and for the book community at large. the less attention people get for their negative behavior, the better (i say as a total hypocrite as i have made a lot of content surrounding this situation).

i will continue to update, mostly on here, instagram, and tiktok as i understand there's a ton of interest from you guys, especially those of you who don't have tiktok. i am also planning on doing a big update on youtube in about a month. i don't want to be too reactive on there to every little change in the situation or i think it will dominate my content too much :)
